GPL Code launches

I registered a long time ago. And I’ve been chewing on what to do with it since then. It’s been tricky to decide, but here it is!

What and Why?

I’ve been actively developing on the FlexSlider project for the last few months, and it has been a breath of fresh air from the WordPress world. While it is connected to WordPress through it’s inclusion in various themes and plugins, I noticed that a lot of FlexSlider users and developers aren’t part of the WordPress community. The other thing I noticed is that there are a lot of other non-WordPress specific projects using the GPL. This struck me a surprise but also got me excited as it showed that it’s a great open source community license.

So, I thought I would showcase some of the projects that I’ve come across that are using the GPL, both in commercial and free products.

Have fun exploring!
